Alright so let's talk about this asshole who came into Newbury last night.

He came in, and immediately targeted one of our employees. He's young, 18, and has dyed blue hair and a rainbow pin on his lanyard so this guy starts stating very loudly about "this is why I don't support lgbt rights" etc. and I really had no idea how this started so I actually snort laughed like right as he walked by cause I just couldn't believe it. Then this employee came up to me and told me how it started, and Hannah and I were like oh HELL NO and ran to the aux to put on some songs just for this guy.

We put on Born for this by Lady Gaga, then Same Love, I Kissed a Girl, etc. After a few minutes this guy comes up to the register, right in front of another employee who was on reg (I'll call him P), who happens to be the only poc up there, and stands there trying to be intimidating. P says "can I help you with anything sir?" and this guy just looks at him and is like no just looking, but is really just standing in front of his register. Then this guy goes to P, hey man you should really check out the National Socialist black metal party I think you would like it. And I had no idea wtf this was but I could tell it was coded language. (I've since googled it - FUCKING NAZIS). So I stand next to P and start staring this guy down. Then he goes, "I could also show you some better songs you could play in this store." I just stand there looking at him and go "nah man we're good." and kind of continue staring until he starts to leave. Then as he's walking out I'm just like, "man I really love my girlfriend. Love being gay." and stuff and then the dude leaves but is standing outside the store and at this point I'm like alright this isn't good.

But asm (who I posted about in the relationship thread and is being a real douche) comes up to the register and is like "you know the whole store (meaning employees) is standing back here right" and I'm like man you don't even know wtf just happened. I was coming back there to tell him about it because the guy was still standing right outside. Then he fucking comes back into the store, and that's when ASM went up to him and was like you gotta leave, you can't say this stuff and make my employees feel uncomfortable, etc. The guy was like I've never even been here before, I didn't say anything, blah blah blah. He finally leaves, and then our asm yells at us for not telling him sooner.

Sorry man when a fucking nazi is staring down my girlfriend and the poc in the store I'm not about to be like hold on one second I'm gonna go get my manager real quick.

Anyway it was an incredibly scary situation in hindsight and I am legitimately afraid this guy is gonna come back with his ghouls and try some shit, or try to jump us after we close or something. I really don't notice immediate danger when it's in my face, my first thought is always to react and protect people. It's not like I had to fight this guy or something but I made it quite clear with my body language that he wasn't welcome. But like strength in numbers right, this was one guy and to walk away from people and leave them vulnerable just to go get my asm like he was gonna be the one to fight this guy or something, I mean come on. That's just a whole macho shtick that my asm likes to pull, he did it when a guy asked Hannah for a threesome when she said she had a gf and I went up and drove him out of the store.

I will really be keeping an eye out for this guy, that's no fucking joke shit that happened last night and it's scary. Fucking nazis I can't even believe it.

 

Also the fact that my asm's first reaction is to be mad and not ask P or the young kid or any of the rest of us if we're ok...like my boy P and my cute lil 18 year old queer friend just got fucking targeted by a nazi how about you ask them if they're alright.
