This new Notches album is pretty solid. Punky 90s alt type stuff, kind of get Dinosaur Jr. vibes.

so is tiny engines effectively dead now? tomorrow makes a month of radio silence and i figured they would have made some sort of statement by now

I think that’s a safe assumption. Regardless of if they make a statement, they’re effectively done. They owe action to their artists, so if they choose to settle that privately, that’s their call.

    Trusted

a bunch of the smaller bands still list them as their label which I feel like they wouldn't do if they got their masters back and whatnot. they still haven't done refunds for the empty country preorders (or at least I haven't gotten mine) so they might address the entirety of the situation w that (potentially) last bit of public book keeping

I have a few tracks to post, I'll try and post stuff that will actually be a new discovery for most people.

Massachusetts rockers who I can't imagine anyone know's about outside of Somerville, MA.

Seattle indieish/emo (the old band of Jake from Minus The Bear)

Quintessential mid 2000's sounding pop/emo from Boston

This is the debut (I think?) album by the over 20 year old band The New Rising Sons, whose vocalist is Garrett Klahn (Texas Is The Reason). I found out about it because the TitR Facebook page posted about it. I enjoy it.

Padfoot /// The Company We Keep is the most underrated release of 2019. Outside of Pdaddy its my #1 most listened to album

Their bassist, Liam, is still active under the name yellowbirddd and releases music pretty regularly.

Blowout remaster for all those nerds who said the vocals were too low in the original mix

this is one of the more substantial remix’s/remasters I’ve heard

been enjoying this the past week or so. idk where I heard them first but it's definitley different than most things shared in the thread. I guess I would call it "lo-fi indie hip-pop" or something if I had to give it a genre.
