THAT SUUUUCKS. He released the opener and closer last time.

 

I don't even think I'm going to listen to the single if it's the closer lol

 

I listened to a quick clip just to verify there isn't some other Australian Brian Fallon or something. Sounded like him to me.

 

I don't mind when openers are released as singles, necessarily, because the whole point of the opener is to set the stage for the record. But I will probably also not listen to the song if it actually is the closer. I prefer to hear closers in the context of the rest of the record.

 

Well that would be one hell of a coincidence haha

 

I would've bet money that he continued with the One Word Pluralized album title thing.

Two word title threw me.

 

haha yeah Dimestore posting an announcement and then this popping up on itunes would be too eerily coincidental

i wonder if the 'country' label is an indication of a more stripped-down acoustic/dare i say...'Nebraska' style of an album

The tiny little clip I heard sounded nothing like what I was imagining a Brian Fallon / Peter Katis team-up was gonna sound like, but in an awesome and exciting way.

8 song album is ruining my day

 

The last Japandroids album was 8 songs and amazing, however, they aren't on "my most anticipated/favorite artist of all time" level like Brian so when I hear it is only 8 songs the admittedly selfish fandom side of me is sad because I want 12-13 obviously.

But 12, 8, or even 5 new Brian Fallon songs will soar to the top of my most anticipated list.

 

I really love albums that are less than ten songs, for some reason.
