I guess nobody here is just dying because they don’t have insurance, so that’s cool, but still

 

Universal healthcare as in by law you have to pay for an insurance plan, which either suck and/or are expensive, and also all those bills that are part of your “own risk”. Nobody is not insured (or probably almost nobody), but plenty of people are in financial problems because of healthcare, despite subsidies for low income people.

 

We don’t understand. We only speak in NHS and free healthcare. UK SQUAD

 

I had pneumonia in 2014. Ambulance drove me to the hospital. Looked after me for two days. Let me go home with my parents and recover for two weeks from uni. Didn’t pay a penny. Dread to think what the US would’ve tried charging me for an illness that was totally out of my control haha. It genuinely worries me whenever I’m there.

I tore all the ligaments in my right thumb in LA one time. I was so worried about the cost I just taped my thumb to my finger and waited til I went back to the UK three weeks later before I got it! Reading some of the horror stories about healthcare there makes me so anxious

 

Seen people say they've been charged $10000 for an ambulance ride just wow

FYI I just ate a pokemon doughnut styled like a pokeball at Mr Donuts while playing Pokemon Go so kiss my derrière

 

To be fair a lot more people seem to die from NHS mistakes than people die from mistakes in Dutch hospitals lol But maybe that’s all just hysteria, I’ve never even been to the UK

Our NHS is great. People constantly criticise it because that's just how British people are. Could it be better? Yes. But we also don't have to pay $10000 for an ambulance ride
