Hell no, man I don't listen to that crap! I'm a rocker, dude through and through. Here's my favorite bands: AC/DC, Van Halen, not Van Hagar, Skynyrd, Def Lep.

I don't think the topics people post most often about here are a one to one reflection of the music they listen to, that's a pretty unfair assumption.

 

I only really like his stuff with Kanye, his solo stuff can be such a bummer

 

His solo stuff is amazing and must not be slandered

 

I feel honoured to be bummed out by his solo stuff.

 

Bon Iver is fantastic. I just don't know what he's talking about a good 80 percent of the time.

 

Yeah I understand that even we didn't automatically know every band but I don't get being proud of being close minded is different

 

I still think Limp Bizkit's Three Dollar Bill Y'all is a killer record.

Same goes for Stroke 9's Nasty Little Thoughts.

 

I don't think they'll be a ton of people to discuss this, but I really don't like 90s hardcore. Just ignorant tough guy music from what I've heard...I like Damnation AD tho

 

Yeah it's not a contest of what you have or haven't heard. It's about curiosity and interest beyond a tiny sliver of the world.

I guess I misinterpreted what you were saying, because that's what it seemed like you were saying.

 

I like every Limp Bizkit album actually. Their unquestionable truth EP was pretty good and was looking forward to the 2nd part before it was scrapped.

I remember Stroke 9 having a great song on the Jay and Silent Bob soundtrack.

 

How can anyone judge who has interest in what? What a weird criticism.

 

I feel you, but I force Sevendust, Story of the Year, Atreyu, ect into the conversation and ususally get a person or 2 that wants to talk

Nah. Everybody's got stuff they haven't heard, seen, read, learned, etc. It's about attitude and approach.

 

This puts my feelings about that more concisely than I was able to in one attempt, so I'm just gonna quote it.

I also just don't give a shit about what anyone else listens to though, just simply does not concern me. The only thing I don't like is people openly straight up dismissing entire genres.

 

Justin Vernon's voice is obnoxious

I regularly listen to Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin

Brand New is goddamn overrated and The Devil & God is the only thing they've done that is even remotely interesting
