I can't seem to catch most G-Max pokemon still but I have Snorlax already lol

 

I'm at three Snorlax raids with no catch, bringing my lifetime nonhosted Gmax catches to oh wait still zero

apparently a repeat ball has a slightly higher catch rate if youve already caught the mon

Yeah I was using Dusk for a while but I’ve had better success with Repeat

 

Gonna use repeat on the next gmax Snorlax and see what happens, probably won't play till later. Would love a 6iv one.

Sooo am I doing something wrong with Growlithe? Can't seem to ever encounter one that I can catch. Always assumed if I paralyzed them and got them low low health that they should be catchable.

P.S - I'm really new to Pokemon games so I'm unsure what the strategy is.

 

is it using roar and causing you to run, or is it hitting you with a "you cant use the pokeball" message? if the former, id recommend using a Quick Ball before it even has a chance to attack. if it's the latter, it means you need to earn more gym badges before youre able to catch Pokemon of that particular level.

if its neither and you are just having trouble catching it, try the Quick Ball thing anyways

 

Good to know, I'm receiving the "can't use pokeball" message. I'm on 4th gym. Still learning what I can and can't do at certain levels. Thanks for the tips!
