Northeast looks really cool too, especially since I'm very into beer. However it doesn't really seem to have good housing stock rental wise. And being over the river it'd be a more difficult/longer drive to work.

 

There are about three or four new buildings coming in the area from what I've seen traveling around. Not sure when exactly your prospective move is, but they may be done by the time you're here. But yeah, I love it here. A lot of my life is in this area, though, so I can understand being away from work not making it an easy sell.

Whoa, that would've rocked. What a venue, and The Secret Sisters are crazy good.

 

Show was so good! After the show at the merch table I was the first to chat with him; he was so chill and friendly. The songs from his upcoming album all sounded great; ended up getting the tour poster signed(comes with an album download too).

 

The room at the Bryant Lake Bowl was pretty small, but I liked how intimate it was; perfect setting for JPW's show. Didn't hurt that there were two beautiful ladies on either side of me too

 

awesome, I saw that there was an encore show at 10, would have been pushing it to make it, though.

 

This is gonna be a long weekend for me. No cable/internet until Monday and I don't get any service on my personal phone in my apt. Thankfully, I just realized I have service on my work phone!

Also, just left the Purple Rain screening in Highland Park. Lot of fun. That movie is ridiculously cheesy, haha

 

went to up down last night (earlier since it has been crowded on weekends since it opened) it was pretty fun, drinking some beer and playing X-Men side scroller with some random guys. Probably take in the twins game tonight, its been a solid weekend.

has anyone been to a saints game yet? I have been meaning to go since they moved to CHS field but I just haven't set time aside to go. Hopefully catch bill murray at a game sometime, ha.

 

I went there for a game for the first time last summer, and it was a great experience. It's a really well built/thought out stadium; great food options, and the ability to walk all around the field with great views of it. It's right next to downtown, so easy access. My brother has been ushering there for two years now and loves the place

 

definitely will have to check it out sometime this summer.

and went to the twins game last night, we stuck it out until the rain delay in the 11th.

 

no interest in a bad twins team; i would love to see some people at the Lynx games though

 

This week we went to Uptown Pizza because you can get a 20 inch pizza for 15 dollars on Sundays! I'm not sure if this is too much of self-promotion/in bad taste to post my own stuff in here, but I figured it's relevant enough given the thread. That said, you all should post stuff you're involved in too if you feel like sharing! Bands, etc. Pretty sure I mentioned that awhile ago, but I'd love to see what fellow Chorusers are making and doing!

PS - There's a Pokemon GO theme to this episode because we dived fully in over the weekend holy shit is it addicting!

 

If anybody wants to join an awesome running club, the store Mill City Running, over by the Surdyks liquor store, has a club that meets on Tuesdays(beginners) and Wednesdays(everybody) at 6pm at the store; we run through St Anthony on Main, across Stone Arch Bridge, then depending on what bridge you cross, you do 2.5, 4 or 5 mile runs. Once a month we meet at the Fulton brewery to run from and return to the brewery, and once a month we have a scheduled long run on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Club runs all year, and is completely free. Probably the biggest running club in the Twin Cities. If you're looking to meet tons of new people, would love to have anybody join!

 

Just bought new running kicks from there the other day. Good store, helpful staff. Maybe I'll come out some Tuesday evening.

 

Yeah man you should; staff leading the runs are really helpful, especially with new/beginner runners. Frequently we'll have shoe reps, from Saucony or whoever, come and allow runners to try out shoes on the run itself. This past Wednesday a rep brought in popsicles and brats for everybody after the run, all free

 

I want to run this week but it's so damn hot

 

I'm doing the Torchlight 5k tomorrow, and it's supposed to be 90 degrees; fuuuuuu
