Looks like the studio had it projected around $25 for the five day and it could go as high as $45!

Loved it!! So many of my absolute favorite people in it and probably the most I’ve ever enjoyed Daniel Craig. Agree that this is a start making turn for de Armas. I saw some of the story coming early on but wasn’t sure if it would be a full twist in what happened or not. I really loved the heart of the film and the goodness that permeated it. Have to see it again for sure.

I just love how Rian subverted expectations yet again by literally showing us who killed him immediately, but then brought it all back again .

TLJ haters have no leg to stand on now. This was perfect. My favorite part was Walt yelling at Ransom about eating more cookies, and needing milk lol

TLJ haters that I talked to are already locked and loaded on hating it. They can go and get.

well you can't please everyone, so rian might as well only be hated by the worst of the worst. good for him

him responding to the TLJ hate by making the alt right troll a prep school child is chef's kiss
Toni Collette dancing to More Than This, Lakeith saying weak sauce and Michael Shannon yelling at Chris Evans are all my kink
Daniel's Craig donut monologue was incredible
poor Rikki Lindholme, I guess it's true to society that the wife of a rich nepotism guy would have no agency, but it was weird that they never introduced her until it was like oh she's MAGA and btw Walt's wife/Jacob's mom
also I liked that the most sympathetic character was a vaping liberal arts student who was maybe gay probably

Hello, yes. Especially Toni and Michael, those were my favorite bits. Jamie not having any of Toni made it even better, what a dream team.

I was almost in tears during the donut speech.

Lost my shit at Spanish dubbed Murder She Wrote. Excellent choice there

Also that's an S4 or earlier episode, as Tom Bosley's Sheriff Amos Tupper retired to Florida according to a line in the S5 premiere

It also helped my audience was eating it up as much as I was.

People were dying right from the start when that murder description was happening in Marta’s sisters soap opera.

  12. I was the only person in my theater cracking up at that, this is very validating to hear

This was so much fucking fun.

“I will not eat one iota of shit” might be the funniest thing I’ve heard all year.

i thought for sure that the twist was gonna be that he had orchestrated his own death to be a whodunnit and was a tiniest bit disappointed that that wasn't it lol
daniel craig was born for this role, wouldn't mind a franchise of mystery movies staring him tbh

Honestly me, and my Dad both thought that. Though now it seems too obvious.

I thought the same thing. Wasn’t sure if the prop knife comment was meant to signal that he had faked slitting his throat or if his shoulder being hurt was any kind of clue that something else was up.

May end up seeing this again tonight since my dad is coming in for thanksgiving and got hyped up by my rave review. I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie twice in a row in theaters.

This ruled. Definitely one of my favorites of the year, such a fun ride.

Saw this w/ my brother who HATES Last Jedi & is still obsessed w/ what happened to Luke in that film... & he loved this. *shrug*

I thought that, too. Figured the meds had been switched pretty quickly, but thought maybe he orchestrated it when he was being unruly during the game, especially w/ how his behavior towards his family could've been seen as him making himself ready for death.

Loved this, what a brilliant, ahem, subversion of expectations revealing the whole game a third of the way in and then twisting it yet again right at the finish. So many great running jokes, like every member of the family telling Marta they wished she was at the funeral but was outvoted (big time “I would’ve voted for Obama for a third term” vibes). Loved the digs at the alt-right and all that as well.

My only small problem was that it wasn’t clear at all to me how Ransom knew that Marta had actually given Harlan the right medicine. Based on the timeline that Blanc lays out at the end, unless I missed something, Ransom couldn’t have learned about it until he read the report himself, which happened AFTER he burned down the lab. And if he burned down the lab to prevent it getting out that Marta hadn’t overdosed Harlan, he would’ve had to find out beforehand. Did I miss something there?
