The new Blood Incantation record whips ass

 

Revolver has been really solid ever since their rebrand but that list is kinda lame. Korn being included at all, regardless of position on the list, is absurd.

Finally got around to the new Sepultura track, it's pretty solid

 

New Sepultura song is maybe the best thing I've heard from them since Max's departure. Granted I haven't kept up with everything they've released since then.

I did see them (and meet them) way back in like 2003 though with the "new" singer and they still destroyed. I know everyone thinks Max = Sepultura, but I think that's far from the truth. I'll definitely go see them if they tour on this new record.

I'm not really into much modern deathcore, but Chelsea Grin/The Acacia Strain/Spite/Left Behind/Traitors are playing tonight and it seems like a decent enough pre-Thanksgiving show.

Like I said, I'm not super into any of those bands, but I dig the new Left Behind record and The Acacia Strain had some TRACKS back in the day, so I figure it's worth going to. Plus there will probably be people there I know so that could be fun.

The opening to wage slaves is one of my favorites across all metal. They literally just slow down the riff for that breakdown and I love it

 

All Shall Perish is/was prob my favorite "deathcore" act. Was hoping for a new record for a long time but I'm not really counting on it anymore.

I can’t behind that new Left Behind album. I’ve tried but it feels generic to me and there are bands doing what they are trying to do better aka TAS.

I imagine it will be on a lot of EOTY lists.

 

I got a lot of Cradle of Filth on it and I am not sure how that sits with me. I will re-listen in the near future. Were they always this symphonic?
