On the Arsenal front, it's looking like another summer of pure Arsene Banter. Went for Vardy, he decided to stay. Went for Higuain, who we can't afford realistically. Lacazette, we pulled out 'cause we "didn't agree on a valuation". Now Icardi, who appears to also be staying, and is just using us to get a better contract.

We have but one hope. The Chaos Factor.

 

Don't believe that for a second. Very few players we can't afford now. However it's very unlikely Arsene would be willing to spend the required fee/wages to get him. Why that is I have no idea.

 

Well yeah, technically we could afford him, but not with Arsene holding the purse strings. Most we have paid is 42m for Ozil, unlikely we'll pay 80m+ for Higuain.

Steve Bruce interviewed for the England job. At least he's English, right?

 

Steve Bruce is a solid manager, but England manager? I just cannot see that.

At least with Allardyce I can see it either working really well or utterly terribly. With Bruce, it would just be mediocre.

 

Bruce isn't a solid manager, he's pretty terrible. Sure he got Hull promoted a few times but they always had a big budget for the Championship. Their team plays awful football, no way should he even be considered for the job.

 

I don't think terrible is fair. Hull promoted twice. Birmingham promoted twice. Wigan fell backwards fairly rapidly with him gone too. I mean, I'm not arguing he's a world beater and I don't think he should even be in the conversation about the England job, but he's by no means terrible.

 

So I think United might actually be signing Pogba
