Make sure you also read the sequel books to Memory, Sorrow and Thorn: "The Heart of What Was Lost", which is an in-between book between the original series and the sequel series, as well as "The Witchwood Crown" and "Empire of Grass", the books of the sequel series that have been published so far. They're really good.

I need to power through the last half of the book I'm reading ASAP. Though, you might actually like it, @Vivatoto : The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's a "what if Dracula was real and still alive" academic, literary mystery.

Oh yeah, already ordered the in between book. Was just planning on a short break since I tore through that series but I think I might just go right back to it after Starsight since the Dread Empire isn't doing anything for me. I absolutely loved To Green Angel Tower, the first two were great as well but that one was just 1000 pages of excellence.

Going back soon is a good idea because once you start forgetting stuff from the original series you'll be lost a lot :crylaugh:

Ya especially when you add in my brilliant idea of reading another fantasy series in between to really screw with my head.

One thing I can't seem to pin down is how long after the original series the sequel series takes place. Different details point towards different time frames. It doesn't really matter though.

I am just starting out listening to The Dragonbone Chair audiobook, but today I went and bought the other five Tad Williams Osten Ard audiobooks that I could find.

Such a good series (so far). Sanderson is a prolific writer but even at his pace it's going to be a long time before that series wraps up.

It's seemingly every other week when a co-worker sees me lugging my copy of Oathbringer around and says something along the lines of "you too?"

once state of sanderson 2019 hits and we know if it's 2020 or 2021, i'm gonna start planning a bit of a cosmere run, i think

from all prior updates it’s looking like a Nov 2020 release.

I just have White Sands 3 to read and I’ll have officially read all of the Cosmere at least once. You thinking of doing the whole thing?

yeah, it sounds like he's on track for 2020, i'm assuming he'll stick to that. not the whole thing but i haven't read any of white sand so i want to do that, warbreaker again, obviously stormlight, maybe throw in some other stuff.

Literally just completed a Cosmere re-read and it still blows my mind that there are connections that I didn't get after my nth time reading it.

this is kind of a complicated question. a large percentage of sanderson's work takes place in the same universe (the cosmere), with an overarching lore (and one constant recurring character) connecting them. stormlight is the centerpiece of the universe so far, with lots of little nods and connections to other books/series, some more explicit than others. stormlight is enhanced by knowledge of his other works but it's not at all required, it's a pretty excellent series on its own but the puzzle pieces of the overall cosmere picture bring it to another level.

Ah, cool. Each of these books will probably take me 6 months or more lol so I think I'm just gonna start here
