I couldn't possibly cut Home, Teenage Satellites, or California. I'm cool with cutting LA and the joke songs

 

I couldn't cut any song off the album. Though I also think "Rabbit Hole" is the worst. Wonder why they thought it'd be a fan favorite.

 

Its so strange to me that a straight forward song like RH, one rooted in Blinks most primary parts, is disliked over songs like Home & California that are such an overreach for this band. Boggles my mind.

If they ever tried to play Home live, it would be a train wreck.

If/when they play California, it will be the same thing. No way in hell that Mark is going to hit those notes vocally.

 

That's exactly why I like those two songs more, they do something a little different, also both are far catchier to me. And tbh it doesn't really concern me what they sound like live, I much prefer them on record

 

Maybe or maybe I just like the album. It happens lol

 

Eh, even if you are just a fan of recorded albums and disregard the live show piece, the lyrics on both Home & California are so terribly shallow and cliché. I say bleh.

I don't agree with the No Future hate... personally one of my favorites off the record

 

They're really not worse than the lyrics on the rest of the album. I mean, She's Out of Her Mind? Kings of the Weekend? Plus, I think Home probably has the best lyrics of any song here.

 

No way is Rabbit Hole the worst on the record. I would say California .

 

I like the whole album but i think Rabbit Hole is my least favorite aswell, dont even think i can explain why, it just doesnt do anything for me

 

People have been targeting RH a lot, but the band brought that on themselves by showcasing it after only one track was released to the public. If they would have just buried it with the proper album release, I don't think people would nitpick it so much.

 

Yeah I gotta admit I'd probably like it more if they didn't hype it up so much as being a fan favorite

So strange to me, but hey, to each their own.

I personally LOVE the Skiba-led gang vocals that close out RH. I love the intro, the lyrics, the emotion throughout it, the fact that its JUST the instruments that they all play plus vocals in a range that they can all sing. Its just earnest and true Blink.

 

That was their mistake, and I don't necessarily disagree with their intentions. I could have seen RH become a fan favorite more organically over time. It was a lose-lose decision to release that song and draw the attention to it.

Okay come on. I mean... RH probably has the worst lyrics on this album.
Lyrics on this album are actually really bad in general, but I've never cared too much for them.
I love this record as a whole.

 

It's insane how much I enjoy Skiba's vocals on this considering I was a big Tom-fan and had never listened to Alkaline Trio before. I was somewhat wary and this album blew me away.

Really excited to see the full full setlist for this tour. I've seen them twice already this summer, but they were festival dates. My wallet is crying.
