What’s the ROH shelf life at this point? Do they make it through 2020?

when NJPW drops them, they die. I believe Scurll, Bandido, Cobb, Rush, and any major person they signed in late 2018 will have their contracts up here at years end.

Sinclair probably needs to fill programming enough that it might survive in a zombie form for a while; but not if their ticket sales look like this (this is less than a month out from the TV taping after final battle)

 

For anyone that cares, looks like Jun Kasai is going on a hiatus. Unsure if he'll make the FREEDOMS show for Wrestlemania weekend.

 

I literally forget that ROH exists until Joey Mercury brings da newz. I think it might be the most boring wrestling product right now. And they have Jeff Cobb, Bandido, Brody King, Rush, Flip Gordon, Jonathon Gresham, Jay Lethal, and Ian Riccaboni. But then again, they do have Maria Maniac with the worst tattoo ever...

Delirious sucks at booking. How has he had the job for so long?

Is the Bully Ray thing about the security/heckling thing, or did he do something else stupid? again?

 

What kills me is that they probably could have had similar success to AEW if Sinclair actually cared. It's weird; they could easily have been more profitable if just given a bit more capital.

And NJPW is doing some weird business shit too. I realize that in Japanese business that loyalty counts for a lot, but NJPW did not have to try and actively sabotage Omega and do other spiteful shit to AEW and friends. Could have grown their American business a lot better working with AEW after ROH folds. Instead they run tiny house shows in California and the surrounding area? okay.

Kelly has a great look. I think she has a ton of upside. She's out of the ROH dojo and only had a few years under her belt. Give her some time in developmental and she'll be fine.

Please just get rid of "The Gatekepper." Worst nickname ever. A gatekeeper is an upper mid-carder that is used to propel the actual championship contenders toward championship fights. Why advertise that you're not championship material?

 

I think Scurll's contract is up at the end of this month, with Cobb and Bandido's being up by the end of the year. ROH has been absolute trash since the Elite left and they decided to make Taven their champ at the G1 Supercard. Making Rush their champion has been their only good move in a while and he has no real contenders. The whole company is a waste of time and talent, especially their women's division.

 

I could see Cobb doing Impact and NJPW. Though he might not want to work with Elgin.

 

Monday's Being the Elite ended with Page turning around a picture of him with Scrull and the rest of the Elite gang. AEW usually doesn't showcase people who aren't going to work for/with them. So, I think it's pretty safe to assume where he's heading at the beginning of 2020.

Edit: I feel like the rest of the top contenders in ROH will either drift off to WWE, Impact, or AEW. For some reason, I can't see anyone signing with ROH again. Especially, since Klein just got notified BY EMAIL that she won't be working there after the year is up.

Yeah, its bad. NJPW instantly sold out two venues that ROH would be lucky to see 30-40% full. Full Gear is probably going to have done 10x (currently 20x) the crowd that ROH's big PPV will in Baltimore.

Flip and Scurll probably go AEW. I could see Cobb and a few others doing the Juice style deal and signing with NJPW for their US expansion. And once those guys are gone, Im not even sure what ROH has left beyond a bunch of older, brawler style wrestlers and weirdly, Flamita.

 

I bet Bully Ray ends up as ROH champion at some point
