It's an absolutely garbage song and beyond that is so incredibly out of place. Bizarrely overproduced.

 

Tom really needs to take a break from social media.

I've given up trying to understand people who feel the need to insult celebrities on social media

 

Because sometimes those people get the celebrity to respond and that's some sort of bragging right for them. The bigger question is why the celebrity gives these people the time of day whatsoever.

 

I do like the bridge, I'll give it that.

 

We all wanted Mark to start writing bridges with vocals again, and we got some really good ones on this album, imo. Bored to Death and Los Angeles, in particular.

Another solid review Drew!

I mean I think the record is solid but like you mentioned in your review there are a few mishaps.

Hoping album number 2 with Skiba will show us what they can really do.

My guess is they wanted to get an album out asap to make sure they didn't die off.

 

Every time I hear the first line from California I think of the album cover for Paper Walls haha

 

Anybody going to the san diego show giving this a shot?

It's dumb and petty but I really cant accept Up All Night having a higher peak position (65)

Couldn't agree more. That's why you have to go with my preferred version of this record.

I really like this except I have a soft spot for Teenage Satellites. If we were sticking with 10 I'd replace either RH of NF with TS

 

That'd work too. It is really a toss up for me between Kings & TS. I could take/leave either.

I love RH though. And NF is one of the catchiest hooks on the record for me. Don't get why some people look past them.
