Fans need to pray for Allegri or Ancelotti (is he sacked at Napoli yet?) - no matter whether you think they are the right person for the job or not, Jose definitely isn't and any (sane) Chelsea or United fans will warn you of that!

Poch and almost the whole Spurs squad seems burnt out so this change will be good. Offload Eriksen, Toby, Jan and a couple others and invest in the right replacements and they will be back top 4 next season.

It’s so unbelievable that we’ll pay 20M to fire Poch but refuse to spend on transfers

  7. The thing with Mourinho to Spurs.....it is very well know Levy is tight on the budget (despite spending 130m this past window) and Mourinho obviously knows that. If he agrees to be manager, one of two things happened. 1) Mourinho has accepted this and wants the job anyways, or 2) Levy has promised backing in the upcoming windows. Considering Mourinho's history, I have a hard time believing he'd accept the job without a decently sized budget.

I'm just trying to spin this in any positive direction I can.

Or he just wants back into a decently sized job in English football and this is what’s available because he was sacked out of United on a much bigger budget and has no where else to go

Will be banter when he wins the league cup and claims he accomplished more than Poch ever did

  13. The same thing just crossed my mind. We're totally gonna win the FA Cup and he's gonna boast it haha

i tore a hole in the fabric of time Moderator

Not that anyone really cares, butttttttttt....

Watching the game against Cuba to avoid working on a project... If everyone's healthy, this is the XI I'd like to see for the USMNT to maybe get excited for again.

Steffen; Yedlin, Brooks, Long, Dest; Yueill, Adams; Pulisic, McKennie, Morris; Altidore

Guess I'd fill out the 23 with: Guzan, Frei, Zimmerman, Miazga, Bradley, Sargeant, Arriola, Ream, Zardes, Lletget, Boyd, and I guess Weah

Wonder if they’re gonna “reshoot” some of the stuff from today.
They’ll probably just rely on news footage to tell this part.

    I do not exist.

Mourinho is such a big step down. His stock has declined so significantly since his last stints at Chelsea and United. I’m surprised they’ve not stuck with Poch in the first place but I’m even more surprised they’re going with Mourinho and ignoring that his work seems to always end with implosion within 2-3 years...

  21. I don’t know if any of you subscribe to the athletic but this is easily the most detailed article I’ve read regarding what happened with Poch. And after reading it...Levy really didn’t have a choice.

Apparently Salihamidzic is a huge fan of him and there had been rumors that he already talked to Poch after Kovac was fired. Only problem I see is that Poch does not speak German, which is usually demanded from our coaches.

Whether Levy “had to” sack Poch or not it’s really sus that they confirmed Jose less than 12 hours later. Same happened when we sacked LVG. Spurs must have been talking to Jose for a while.

Spurs having Mourinho as their manager is like a challenge of how much I can possibly hate one club.
