I literally had enemies appear in a room after a good 30 seconds in t-pose, textures are loading in as I am *on* them, not to mention the rather unstable frame rate.

like it’s enjoyable dgmw but I wish I had waited for a patch for a more seamless experience.

Just got to the second major planet in FO. Yeah I’m loving this.


When GoW(2018) came out I was so hoping SW would go in that direction. Instead they went even further by using souls/Metroid mechanics. Respawn are king

 

I’ve had them range from 40 to 60 seconds.

It depends on how much you like Star Wars. The game is really, really good, but there are A LOT of technical issues. They are not overblown. I’ve had enemies not load into areas stunting my progress multiple times. Frame rate drops happen all the time, and the game will stop for a few seconds, even on performance mode on the PS4 Pro. I’ve gotten stuck in the world twice.
If you love Star Wars then that’ll override those issues, and I don’t regret buying it, but waiting for some patches is not a terrible idea.

You shouldn't stand by it. Because it's not better than the Metroid Prime sequels. It's not better than some of the Castlevania games released since 2002. It's not better than Ori and the Blind Forest. It's not better than Dead Cells.

It's a good game, but it's not better than those. And that was just off the top of my head.

 

I’m assuming he meant 3D games because otherwise the best Metroid is obviously Guacamelee

Ah, makes sense then I guess. Still think the Metroid Prime sequels are better. There aren't many 3D Metroidvanias now that I think about it though.

Lowkey, I always thought Arkham Asylum was a metroidvania.

 

I prefer this slightly over Arkham. But that game was fucking sick too
