I don't even want to think of the things I missed out on by not collecting until a bit more recently. I'm a little older....and my first show when I was 13 was Nirvana on their In Utero tour. Ahh, oh well.

yeah thinking about tour exclusives and what not that we missed out on is discouraging to say the least ha.

Go to your record store enough and they'll eventually give you half off on the Green album.

  4. Damn, that's a steal.

A copy of Catch Us For The Foxes just went for $300 on ebay. Think RFC needs to get on that reissue.

Dang. Auctions like this make me rethink some of the records I'm holding onto, and I love some of these records... but $300 for something I bought for $15 a few years ago.

    Wow.

I saw that! Insane. A copy of A->B Life went for $50, and that normally fetches at least $100. But I agree that both of those records need to be repressed.

    HAH! i'll be damned

  9. No chance RFC owns those rights - those first few mwY records along with Underoath Norma Jean etc are owned by Capital after T&N sold their back catalog to them - they'll never be repressed

Gilead Media, a company based out of our home state of Wisconsin, did the first run of it. I take it mwY sold it back after that?

Yeah, the lady who sold it, Lazy Labrador Records, is a known flipper. She also took $35 bucks for me when I bought a record offher Store Envy page. She never shipped it, didn't respond to messages, emails. Nothing.

    Trusted

So, I got a Juturna record (tour exclusive, white version) that has the bottom left corner bashed in a bit. It was meant to replace one I had that has a small hole in the cover from a pin that was shipped with it, but the pin one looks better than the gash one. So, if any one of you want it, message me! I'll send it to you if you pay for shipping. (I can only ship within the US)

Edit: This has been taken now.

    That's scummy.

It's good to know that even with all of my negative net worth from student loans, I've got the majority of my assets in the vinyl I've been collecting for the past 7 years. If I were ever in a desperate pinch, I've got another layer of financial safety net.

I'd never be able to sell The Alchemy Index though. That one is too special.

I hear ya. My local shop has The Alchemy Index on their shelves for $200. It just glares at me every time i go in.

Same. I've considered leaving something in my will that denotes the worth of all of my records. Have like a minimum, average, and maximum worth for each record. Just in case something were to happen to me, my wife won't be left with a couple hundred records that she has no idea what to do with haha. Best case scenario would be to pass them down, but you know things don't always work out as planned.

Nah I'm talking about right now, before kids. Which we don't plan on having for a few years anyhow.

I can't tell what you're trying to get at though Alex.

I will breed my future children to love all the same music I do, taking away their freewill. You know, like a good dad.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

If it's any consolation, I'm 90% sure they weren't actually sold on that tour. It was cancelled before my date so I can't say for sure. I bothered Andy for 2+ years about it anytime I saw him after he said they just had them sitting in their garage.

I'm almost positive I saw them at the merch table on that tour. I think This Will Destroy You opened that tour. My long-term memory never has been good though.
