They don't suck but they are held in awfully high esteem for a band whose fan base dislikes half of their work.

 

Loved that song and "Dear God", though with the latter I have a soft spot for country

I feel like somewhere along the way people stopped thinking Travis Barker is a great drummer and that's just absurd.

Bleed American is not a top three Jimmy Eat World album.

 

It'll always be my top because of the title track and Sweetness, but I've heard a lot of hardcore fans rank it on the lower side.

Like obviously I love Ocean Avenue and Way Away and such, but I feel a few of the other songs like Life of a Salesman and Inside Out hinder the album

 

On this site maybe but everyone I've met thinks otherwise.

 

I can see that. Rock is so unpopular for the most part these days, the only people I can find to talk to about music are hardcore fans.

I can agree on those songs, as well as Twenty Three, but Empty Apts, Back Home, Believe, Breathing, Miles Apart, Only One keep it near the top for me.

I don't listen to yc much but I'm p sure southern air is my fav by them

 

The back half of Ocean Avenue drags really hard.

Southern Air isn't bad but I never really got the love for it. It's ranked very low on my YC discography ranking because I felt they'd done that sound to death by that point and were obviously capable of different and better things. Some of Ryan's best lyrics, but doesn't excuse how autopilot the album sounds IMO.

 

Dragonball Z theme tune is top tier music.

 

Super Saiyan Vegeta theme is a favorite

 

The back half of OA is better than the front half imo
