For every bad/mixed review it's got a 10/10 from someone else. It's clearly a game that's not for everyone. I already know it's not for me lol

DS is so detailed, it actually reminds me of Spider-Man in the level of detail it gives.

 

Honestly the bad reviews for DS were kind of weird in that they don’t actually reflect the game at all. They speak of tedium, getting lost, of bad/slow pacing.

i think if you even pay a modicum of attention, none of those things will happen to you. As I said before, if anything, the game is very fast paced.

And dear fellow posters of the chorus dot fm video game thread, you can trust me, because I, like you, think RDR2 is dog shit.

 

I've looked at Gameplay videos of DS and it looks boring af

 

I'm currently playing at the moment. I can understand why people would think it "boring" but the attention here is amazing. I'm loving the section of "fetch quests" but the way they relate to the story is outstanding. I'm liking it, really liking it. It's not the ultimate action game from Kojima people wanted but it's a game that I'm adoring more and more.

 

I wonder if the parts where you use an ak47 to fight mads mikkelsen in alternate WW2 and sneak around old tanks is still in the game.

 

Fairly certain The Outer Worlds has pretty much solidified itself as my game to beat for GOTY this year.

What do you guys like about TOW so much?

 

I like that it’s the Fallout game Bethesda refuses to make, mostly. The writing, the world building, the voice acting, the design of the different planets, it’s all top-notch. It’s pretty much everything I want from a WRPG.
