I stand by that too much water is a legit complaint about gen 3, I felt the same way long before ever knowing it was a meme

 

I feel like the IGN hate is unjustified especially compared to people at Polygon or NintendoLife.

 

It's a dumb joke that's taken way out of context because gamers suck and thought she was dumb for being a woman who plays games and didn't give their precious franchise a standing ovation. I feel bad for Kallie because she gets that shit all the time now.

I think giving a remake a 7.8 with the only real criticism being that it has too much water is stupid. Especially when the same site gave the original version a 9.5(different reviewers I know)

 

I don’t think the 3DS versions have too much water honestly. I was prepared to be annoyed based on my memories of the originals but the water parts breezed by in no time.

 

IGN is so big that there’s going to be goofballs on staff, but yeah on the whole is definitely not worse than the other sites. It’s not even close to being the most annoying one. Though the design of the website is horrible.

 

The best Nintendo fansite is Nintendo World Report, the most comprehensive Nintendo news source is NintendoEverything imo. I never bothered with NintendoLife.

 

I try to stay away from game sites in general so I don't really know which of them are bad tbh I just know ign is bad because I used to visit that one years ago

Yes! I am new to this style of gameplay and I absolutely love it. I am about 15 or 20 hours in maybe? The writing is so well done and the environments are beautiful. If you're considering playing I would definitely dive in.

the Nioh 2 open beta is pretty fun so far! never played the first one, so I didn't know what to expect. the tonfas are awesome, takes me back to Suikoden 2.

I distinctly remember hating those entries in general, but she's not wrong that the games were very unbalanced type-wise.

Staff has changed a lot and it honestly depends on what you're going to the site for. I think Game Scoop is good for some news and a laugh and their wikis are good.
