So there are beers called stouts and porters. They are darker than any of the beers you've mentioned but they are often brewed with coffee, vanilla, chocolate, things like that. They smell like caramel and coffee usually. I've had some with graham crackers and marshmallow, I've had some with with peanut butter. They are a lot heavier than a normal beer and usually have a higher alcohol content. They will taste like a completely different thing than the beers you've had.

Also, if you like ciders, as someone mentioned up above, if you can get a hold of Magic Hat #9 that is a pale ale brewed with apricots. It's a pretty safe beer to start with. If you wanna get crazy with the fruit there are all sorts of blueberry, raspberry, peach, types of beer. You could also try sours which are really tart but low alcohol content and usually have fruity elements.

I'm determined to find you a beer that you will like.

I've heard about the Stouts and I'm definitely interested(also heard that Guiness is similar) but I don't know of a place around that sells just like 1, don't really want a 6 pack and not drink the other 5

Disagree. Mint chocolate chip is an elite ice cram flavor that doesn't need your criticism.

 

I agree on the basis that mint is the flavor. I can't call chocolate chip a flavor anymore than I could sprinkles.

 

As long as you can admit they improve cookies and pancakes

Anything improves pancakes. And that's not to say pancakes are bad. Just that you can add really any other food to it and it works.

 

Rainbow sprinkles improve everything dramatically tbh!

 

I pretty much only order sprinkled donuts. I just don't like other textures in my ice cream. It's too smooth and nice to have that feeling interrupted by a chocolate chip or sprinkle.

 

salmon chunks improve pancakes dramatically.

My wife was too embarrassed to order the Rainbow sprinkle pancakes when we last went to IHOP. She thought she'd be judged haha

They look completely different unless you see them from afar. Which to be fair, if I see a cookie 100 yards away and ask someone to throw it at my face, I'd agree that it was a trick. I just don't think that's a common way of consuming anything really.

 

Oatmeal cookies in general are just better. Oatmeal Chocolate is great.

 

I wouldn't start with Guiness as that is a really odd type of stout. It's good but I don't think it's really indicative of other stouts. It really depends on your tastes. I'd compare different stouts to the different ways people take their coffee. Guiness is also something I would suggest only getting from a bar that has a nitro tap.

 

I had a chocolate oatmeal cream stout at a bar here that was phenomenal. Unfortunately, as is the case with most great beers, I have too many to remember what it's called.
