idk DS1s horror style was crazy repetitive, I think it utterly failed at tension, it is super eye roll inducing. I wish it had one single shred of intrigue or subtlety. Make me scared for god sake. Outside of the failings at horror, I did have some fun with it, the setting was serviceable and the zero g sequences were cool.

 

you know how in naughty dog games when you move into a new area with a bunch of waist high barriers you know exactly whats going to happen before you are “ambushed”?

dead space did that with its environments before naughty dog and wore it completely out in the first 2 hours of the first game. walk into a room and can immediately tell where the lame ass jump scares are gonna come from.

 

He already said he hates JRPGs before that I wish I unmatched him now

I also have a bias for Syndicate because I LOVE any game set in Victorian London

 

Im sad I missed syndicate

 

Im torn between Origins and Odyssey but Im leaning Origins mostly for the setting

any word what the next one may be about? they release every year or two right

 

Odyssey is the RPG one if that sways you in either direction

 

Origins has a lot of RPG elements though

 

damn now I want to play more games than I have time to do I also wanna play Outer Worlds

 

I think the next AC will be a next gen launch title
