No, no, it's all good man! I'm genuinely glad people like the game. The part I watched you play yesterday, shortly after that is where I tapped out.

Did you spend all the money? I did a quest that was $8000. Then did a few side quest, went back and another one wanted $10000! I'm broke!

 

I couldn't afford what I needed to buy from Gladys to safely land on Monarch so I said fuck it and killed her figuring I could loot it off her. I couldn't. So I was curious what to do next, and the onboard computer, Ava is it? Was like oh great you couldn't control your temper, you can land at another dock safely in monarch but the air is poisonous and you will die in 3 seconds.

Lmao I love this game. Had to reset.

 

I had spent a bunch of money because I THOUGHT gladys was saying, oh you can't afford it? Well do these things for me and I will give it to you after as payment. Not oh you need money? Do these things and Ill give you money and hopefully its enough for you to purchase this afterwards.

 

Spent the last three nights in The Outer Worlds doing every on Terra 2, left off last night after just having reached the Groundbreaker. This is everything I want but am not getting from Bethesda. And Obsidian did it with a fraction of the resources. BGS should be ashamed of themselves, tbh.

 

I mean, they had to have a way to survive, no? A game can't just end you. But that is pretty funny.

 

I took it as, you need to go back in your save files and not kill gladys otherwise this is a dead end. I'm not familiar with these games though so you're right there probably is an alternative you can take. Im gonna actually research if there is instead of doing the tons of actual work I have to do today.

 

Honestly, and personally, I am shocked how quickly and brutally Bethesda fell apart. I don't get it at all. The made some incredible games, with a lot of the same people on the team. How the hell do you mess up this badly? I never thought Bethesda would be the joke of the gaming industry like EA has been for some years now.

 

There's always an alternative route, especially in this game. From what I understand, Obsidian took great care to make sure the game is adaptable and corrects itself when you do things like this. There has to be something you overlooked that would have either allowed you to survive or, alternatively, provided a different path to landing in the place where you would have landed had you not killed the NPC.

 

I laughed way too hard at this

 

The design philosophy in The Outer Worlds of having multiple small-but-dense sandbox areas spread across multiple planets is such a breath of fresh air compared to the often overwhelming singular world maps these games usually have. It's very Bioware-esque, I love it. Also allows them to really experiment with environmental design when every zone doesn't have to make sense being on the same planet together.

Yeah, there's definitely a way around murdering Gladys, oh man I cant wait to play this game on a second playthrough and be a murdering scumbag

yeah, that's why I didn't really commit to Fallout 3 when I tried to play it a few times. Might try download TOW at some point next month
