and you don't think the lack of cohesion in styles or direction has anything to do with that a lot of the songs were written with different people? Plus I don't think a line like that would come from him cowriting with people he's never worked with, lines like that come from Matt writing by himself and working on the lyrics.

I also disagree about "Good Time", I don't think that song is very good, ha.

 

This is pretty much how I feel about it. It's not nearly as bad as people say it is and there was some catchy stuff on there, but it didn't have a lot of staying power.

I think if it had been released as a side project it would have been received much differently.

Oof can't imagine not liking Give Up

 

Give Up is catchy and clever and emotional and brilliant and incredible and it has a quality album cover.

 

I have to be honest, Give Up is probably the least I've ever liked an album hyped by this website.

 

How can anyone listen to "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" and be like, "I don't like this".

It was on Rdio, had to be right Maybe it just caught me in a bad mood, but I tried to listen a second time and couldn't make it all the way through.

 

I'm no fan of Imagine Dragons, but I like several of their songs a lot better than that album.
