TEN are always great live, Dashboard is very fun mostly because Chris is such a great personality who seems so happy to be playing music. That's great you get to see them, show/tour is gonna be so fun

 

That reminds me that I need to not update Instagram when I do my weekly updates. Though, if I had to guess, they already had the algorithm built into the last few updates already.

 

I've seen Ace before, so I have no doubts they'll be great. I've only ever heard great things about DC live, too. I think Saosin with Anthony should be interesting, though gotta admit, there are a couple songs they did without him I'd love to see but have no expectation of them performing. This'll be the first time I see original TBS, too. I missed the TAYF tour by being out of the country (no regrets, but some regrets), so hoping for maybe a surprise deep cut or two off that one.

 

I actually saw Saosin with Anthony twice over the last year or so and it was so fun. Personally, I never really care about Cove-Saosin so I don't miss anything. Also, as much as TBS gets shit these days I honestly think they bring it in their live show still. I saw them for the TAYF 10 year show and during one of the songs, Adam (while singing the whole time) jumped off stage, ran out to the lobby, ran up the stairs, to the balcony and climbed down from the balcony. It was pretty great, hah

 

Adam always does that. Dude is nuts.

 

I have no idea what this means. Probably why nobody has ever heard my music. Haha

 

Gotta start some controversy.

I recommend starting beef with @Jason Tate. A beef timeline, if you will.

 

Tickets on sale are some great up and comers in that genre.

Paying taxes any year as an independent contractor is never fun. 2015 was the first year I've ever got money back.

 

I was an idiot (obviously my own fault) and ended up owing a significant chunk that year

 

Happens. I generally try to put away 20% of what I make through freelance gigs. Emphasis on generally. That year was rough for me too.

 

I always forget people that only know Andy from blog stuff call him drew. Took me a minute to piece that one together.

 

At my age I should be doing my taxes but as long as my mom continues to offer to do them for free..I will let her.

I do them myself now and have for a while. That was a good learning year. It's actually fairly easy for non-contracting work.

 

yeah i paid taxes for the first time this year and it was as self-employed. i can't believe how much i owed for how little i have earned :(

 

Gotta do those quarterlies — the estimates are crucial. It still sucks.

 

Did you get hit with the extra "self-employed" tax in your state? That's the one that gets me every year. Just this weird extra tax for being self-employed in Portland. Like, thanks guys.

 

I didn't know that was even an option until SXSW when I spent 5 days with a gaggle of publicists and journos.

 

I like doing taxes, it's like a Buzzfeed quiz except instead of telling you what Disney character you are, it tells you how much money the government will be sending you.
