Yeah I usually kill and loot everything on the initial journey to where ever I go to then when I had to retread i use fast travel. I dont think loot respawns after initially picking it up.

 

Also, there was so many things in my inventory that I had no idea what is was; which turned me off. It's all good though, game wasn't for me, but I'm glad a tons others like it. I bought MW instead, and it took almost 10 hours to download which is insane.

Also kinda surprising this thread is sort of ignoring some of the posts calling out the issues with the game and it’s attempt to paint the US as the savior of the world again. I wasn’t getting it either way, but in 2019 I feel like these are pretty damning things to do in video games.

 

Is modern warfare set after a certain time period in war? I'm not trying to be that guy but isn't this a fictional war they are making in the game as opposed to the WWII game? Just curious

 

I think both should be 100% addressed but yeah it’s wild the world went crazy what blizzard did for China and barely any talk when the US military is paying off a video game company.

 

Both situations call for a boycott in my opinion. I haven’t played a Blizzard produced game for some time now regardless.

 

As long as I can remember, CoD has called their storylines fictional while still borrowing from real life events they twist in favor of the US army and it’s allies.

 

Still p upset everyone doesn't love Outer Worlds.

The game does look like a lot of fun. Would buy that over CoD any day.

I'm still trying to push myself to finish one game at a time before divulging in another. TLOU has been consuming most of my gaming the past few weeks if i've had time.

 

This review is really weird. I can't tell what this game is supposed to be conveying. It feels like the game is trying to show people that maybe their portrayal over all of these years was kinda fucked up? Show all of their fans that war isn't just killing everyone? Keep people from signing up for the Army from thinking they'll just be killing machines? Feels pretty disingenuous.

Honestly, I think there needs to be a discussion about how games address politics. To say the MW campaign isn’t political is egregious, it totally is about the West fighting the Russians and Middle East as saviors. That’s not saying it’s terrible or not worth playing but it’s also a missed opportunity to explore the realities of current world politics.

It’s like how the developers of The Division 2 said the game isn’t political but the whole game is you as a government agent trying to uphold the fallen American empire by engaging in combat with other American citizens.
