I can’t stop listening to this. I think it was @jordalsh who said love never felt very swellers and I can hear flashes of that through the whole album. Reconnect feels like a throwback to SOMST to me. Wish the first verse of diamond wasn’t as corny, cause I agree w everyone else that the second verse is some of jims best stuff

 

Seemingly weekly reminder that Pitchfork is trash garbage

 

Eh... maybe 15 years ago but current Pitchfork not so much. Their top 200 albums of the 2010s list has more pop and rap than anything.

 

Fair enough. I stopped paying attention to them back when they trashed all the music i enjoyed and havent taken them seriously since. If they have improved in recent years then thats good.

I actually think I'm going to drive down to Fargo to see them this time. Would be a fun getaway.

 

I’ve largely enjoyed this album since it dropped but walking around my neighborhood on a cold dreary Saturday completely sealed it for me. The emotional weight of some of these songs is so rich and affecting.

 

I'm sure they'll announce more, but I'm heckin tempted to drive up to Vancouver to see them anyways.

 

This is going to sell out real fast, no? Am I crazy? I always used to think this band was gigantic?

 

Oh I’m sure. They’re headlining the Intersection next month which is at least twice as big.

 

Could go for an Ohio show

 

Just took this album for a perfect fall walk.

There’s not a song on here I don’t love.

 

Finally picked this up on vinyl. It's a little thing, but I love how they did the lettering for side A and side B like they did the album title on the cover.
