The first song on this EP is called Sic Transit Gloria (Glory Fades) on Rate your music it includes the full title and it was released before Deja in 2000. So Brand New just copied the title? lol

The number of Wes Anderson film quotes that have become song titles is pretty large at this point. Not that I'm complaining, he's one of my favorite directors of all time.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Bottle Rocket and realized that was where the title of the Day At The Fair song "And My Name's Dignan, So What?" came from.

 

So I ended up caving and bought tickets for the show tonight. Got lucky and MSG released extra tickets so I'm in the second row. Anyone else going? Haven't caught up in the thread yet.

I still think there's a chance Sealed To Me is the single. Or will at least be a b-side. Makes sense if Mene, IAAN and Sealed To Me are gonna be on there...if the album is say, 12 songs long, we would have heard a third of it already if they release another new song. That being said, I doubt Mene will be on there now that it's getting this vinyl release. This post was a train-wreck.

 

I would be fine with a studio version of sealed to me as long as he yells at the end

 

God yeah we need the yelling. It makes what's quite a poignant song (to me, despite people's reservations about the lyrics) that much more intense.

If anything, Mene getting a 7" single release, leads me to believe that it will be on the new album. A lot of bands follow suit of releasing a single that included a b-side. I'm guessing Out of Range would be that b-side.
