The dalmation was likely a hologram. It was all staged and Jake is using it to get good press. Bad Jake

Here's an idea Marco Rubio: Fucking kill yourself. In a civil way, of course.

So you're saying two of them are gonna lose their primaries, nice. Maybe the Dems should switch some folks out so like, you know, there doesn't have to be an embarrassing last second effort to replace them.

doing it in the middle of the inquiry would be very bad

Not now but like you know, by the end of the year or something, even by spring. Having someone come in earlier and having everything set up seems better than oh shit a few of our committee people lost their re-election bid lol

yeah if impeachment is done in the House by then, it might be the best thing to do

So my wife is helping me come up with some questions for a movie about the writing of the Constitution I’m gonna be snowing my class, and we got to the Great Compromise and I made a comment about what an awful compromise it has resulted to be. And we talked about how undemocratic the Senate is now and how it needs to be fixed and etc.

And she brought up something I had never thought about: making the House more powerful than the Senate. I always thought about it in terms of making the Senate by population or adding more senators or something...but I think giving the House a “veto override” of sorts of the Senate could be a good ‘middle ground’ solution that could work a little bit. Like maybe allow the House to override a senate vote with a 3/5ths majority or something like that. And also allow them to force a Senate vote on a few bills every year so you don’t have a Mitch McConnell not bringing bills to the floor situation on big initiatives.

I guess the downside is it adds an extra layer to the process, but....I like it.
