It's getting really old hearing that I look mean and that's why people don't approach me. If I had a dollar for every story I heard that starts off "I thought you were a bitch the 1st time I met you but you're really not at all.." I'd be a millionaire. I think I throw around more cuss words than some people are comfortable with but I'm never just an asshole to someone I don't know. Quiet, yes..mean, no.

I get that a lot for a guy. My resting face makes me look like I'm angry so people ask me all the time if I'm mad, never fun.

 

I think I put people off cause I'm hard to make conversation with if I don't know you well. I'm not the friendly bubbly person everyone likes to invite out. I'm the awkwardly quiet brooding person hiding in a corner lol. I don't intimidate anyone tho. I think they just forget I'm in the room sometimes.

 

I am relating hard to these last few posts.

Been getting back into that lately, so far behind.

 

I think I come across mean and overthink myself too often, then get mad at myself and perpetuate the cycle. Like I think things I'm saying are funny or in my head they sound logical and clever but then they're taken not how I meant them or way harsher because I'm trying to break the awkwardness I feel. It's usually that or I say nothing and I don't let anyone know what they've said bothered me until I finally just respond way over the top and make it way worse. Like I'm really bad at the friend picking on you and it's a sign of love or friendship thing. I can't gauge that reaction. Like I feel bad at the friend just "fucking around" when they make fun of me, but I am the worst at like giving that back, because I'm just an asshole and say something that's like way too real instead. I fail at that "guy" social interaction at least once a month. Combine that with the times I make a "joke" or reference no one gets and you have my weird socialness.

 

I deal with that from time to time, the friend busting your balls bit. Most often, I just shrug it off and move on. Once in a while, I'll run into a situation that just gets under my skin and I can't deal with it. Happened to me last week playing a game with a friend, I don't like being told how to play a game.

 

I think Comedy Central airs ASPCA commercials on purpose. It's their greatest joke.

 

Why did those commercials have to ruin Angel? It totally made that song a chore to listen to.

 

I wouldn't even listen to it at this point. I've been muting the TV and burying my head in my laptop during the commercial breaks.

 

It gets the point across but damn, it just gnaws at you.

I don't look mean, I just look really bored/get quiet. I'll never shut up if I know you and like you, but my personality is so different than everyone else's in my family I just seem off.

 

I just look high all the time

 

I come across as a sleepy, mean, laid back person, who everybody thinks is high all the time.

I'm also a different person around different people and in different situations so I actually struggle to find who the actual real me is sometimes.

 

This honestly 100% sums me up as well

 

Got told this weekend I'm too opinionated on art and "shit that's irrelevant" it's always good to be told by friends that the stuff that interests you isn't as important or valid as reading sixty year old legal opinions.

Woke up to 3 tweets about how everything Ronnie did was 5 years ago and I should get over it and I'm sitting here thinking "by that logic my tweets were 3 days ago and you should get over it" this really doesn't ever stop does it
