so Rabbit Hole won't be a single but will be played live, as will TOTTM. and there's a chance Left Alone becomes a single. i can live with that.

 

It's nice to hear them excited about every song and talk about what they can't wait to play live. With a new member they probably just wanted to make sure they got good rehearsal time in on these songs. Just 7 days til we hear the new stuff right?

 

Glad to see the guys doing this. We had some perception of the album thanks to Feldmann's interview, but I wanted to hear it from them.
Matt does look happy. He says on the Bored to Death commentary that he had a rough time before joining the band, so basically being in blink changed his life for better.

Really enjoyed that video.

Matt talked about how Travis has two vocal tracks (Cynical, Built This Pool). I was thinking that, too, when I was hearing the record.

Didn't he also sing on Untitled?

Petition to get Travis to sing one word on the next album.

 

On Down he is the one that says "This can't be the end" and "You did this".
Also he does the Yeah Yeahs on Obvious.
More travis ftw!

 

The volume changes in that NME track by track and insane though.

 

Top 3 on Spotify since the album came out:
She's Out Of Her Mind - 3.3 mil
Cynical - 2.9 mil
Sober - 2.4 mil

 

I need a point of reference. So, She's Out of Her Mind has been getting approximately 255,500 plays a day over the last 2 weeks (223,900 for Cynical, 185,700 for Sober). Is that a lot?

 

I just got Spotify right before blink so I don't have a ton of context on streaming numbers. It seems pretty good to me but maybe someone who has a better handle on streaming can chime in. They have gained a million followers on there since the record came out too (from 5.5 mil to 6.5 mil)

I just read a Reddit comment about someone who is stated as loyal to Tom not being happy with Matt's live sloppy play.

Come again? Lol

 

I'm a huge fan of Matt in blink, but I will agree he has been very sloppy with some of the guitar riffs. The bridge of Carousel and the intros to Stay Together for the Kids and What's My Age Again? come to mind.

Tom is just technically better at the fast things. And he did the Carousel bridge way better in that iHeartradio performance. What do those examples amount to of a 90 minute show? 3 percent? Lol I don't even wanna know what percentage of Tom's playing was sloppy.

 

I'm with you. Tom's guitar playing was way sloppier more consistently. I just hope Matt works on practicing some of the riffs a bit more.

 

Aside from that iHeartradio fuck up on WMAA he's been pretty good with that. It's gotta be a trip playing to this many people every night. I'm sure he'll only get better as he plays more with blink. And he nails so many songs vocally (I care way more about the notes at this point than the "charm" of Tom's voice lol) the mistakes are so forgivable for me. Can't wait to see them in September.
