I highly doubt this band will ever do something without an exhaustively long boring tease, we've been all "MAYBE A SURPRISE RELEASE FOR ________" since the self titled and it's never the case.

 

It’s the release we deserve!

 

Somebody earlier (I think @MikeERayner) mentioned a date I think anyway.

 

Well he said new song this month and there’s only two Fridays left soooooo

 

He also said Notes would be out in 2018

 

Pretty sure I just said the date of the last Friday of the month!

 

Ah. Thought it was an indication of being privy to something, my bad! Either way that’s actually looking likely now anyway.

Amazes me that at this stage they’re supposedly ~50% done with it all considering the May goals they had before. Conflicted because I wanna hear new tunes but don’t wanna find myself overplaying then and ruining my first impression of the album once it’s eventually out haha.

 

I haven't returned to PEOPLE much tbh, but I think I'm holding off for the full album moreso than I don't like it

 

I’m just pretending they don’t exist until February.

For real though didn’t he say it was this month? As far as I’ve seen it’s only been jokes here about it being delayed.

 

We’ll statistically get at least one new song next year so there’s that.

If you wanna talk about how you don’t like People that’s fine. It’s just annoying with the thread bumps with bitching about missing a deadline that hasn’t even passed. These 1975 threads get really weird with what passes as “criticism” and discussion. I’d rather discuss the album and band then inevitable pushbacks. I don’t really care about people praising the band or not.
