Was it ever confirmed that the lyrics of After Midnight are hinting back to old blink songs?

“I can’t keep your voice out of my head (I Miss You),.... find the best in ‘All of This’, but I’m ‘Always’ looking out for you cause you’re the ‘I Miss’”

I remember that being a stretch of a theory, but still kinda cool.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Tom did confirm this.

 

I know we had the big summer tour but it seems very weird and anti-climatic that Nine dropped less than a month ago and there isn't any late show performances or anything on the schedule to get excited about. Hopefully they have something up their sleeves to keep the hype going! (I still listen to NINE daily)

 

I'm hoping to get a headline show in Chicago in 2020. They haven't done one here since the California tour in 2016 -- only festivals since then (Lollapalooza in 2017 and Riot Fest in 2019).

 

That’s what I had thought, but I can’t find it online. Still really cool. Gives those verses new meaning and I love it.

 

I'm not even sure where to look for his confirmation at this point, but I do feel pretty confident he said it.

Was “After Midnight” not we’ll received by the fans? I’m surprised they don’t play it anymore.

 

I remember it being a lot of people’s favorite from Neighborhoods. They played it on their entire 2011 tour.

 

pretty sure it’s the consensus favorite from neighborhoods but they don’t play anything from that album

 

I feel like every band has that one album that they don’t acknowledge anymore/play songs from

 

I want to say I remember hearing Mark say whether it was an interview or in one of his IG stories that they plan a NINE touring album cycle.

I think the general feeling is that this summer tour was suppose to be that album tour cycle but because the album kept getting delayed they did the Enema shows instead.

If I were willing to bet I think they do a short East Coast tour in the early spring, European tour in the spring/early summer then tour the rest of the US for the rest of the summer. Kind of like what they did with the Untitled album cycle but in reverse (they toured Europe in the winter, the US in the spring/summer and Europe again in the fall).

 

blink has 3 (Buddha, Cheshire Cat and Neighborhoods/DED).

 

Hopefully they do a smaller venue tour (yeah right) but with Taylor Swift and the Hella Mega Tour playing arenas/stadiums in the summer 2020 maybe blink won't want to compete with those big name tours.

 

Probably arenas that hold 10k to 20k in the non summer months. I don't see them doing a club tour or anything small like that.

 

If they did do a small east coast run I'm sure they would hit the smaller venues in Atlantic City, something in NYC, and Mohegan Sun. They've booked shows in AC (saw them there after DED came out) and at Mohegan before (but they ended up cancelling the Mohegan date due to something with Travis medically I believe)

 

Curious, I don't know enough about iTunes - can you "friend" anyone on there without them accepting, or is that one perk of being the owner of this site, where Mark would accept your friend request? Pretty cool either way.

 

I just need some Europe dates announced. Hopefully with a good support as well.

They cancelled the Mohegan show because Travis had to get his tonsils out and Tom was sick too.

Some nights its fun to just kick back and jam some blink. Tonight is one of those nights.

 

I have actually never seen this before.

 

Watched this MTV doc last night. They went to Tom's and Mark's childhood homes, Tom's high school, and interviewed their friends/family about the early days. Then at the end they played a small club in San Diego (the song they showed was Aliens Exist. Pretty neat!

 

does pete play bass in this? they're both bass players and pete isn't screaming so not sure what the credits are!
