Probably end of the list tbh but I may be forgetting a couple. Also there are some on the bubble that are almost there but have had one or two misses that give me pause from outright blind trust (like Platinum or Obsidian)

 

From Software is the first one that I thought of

Me too and Souls games are most definitely not my thing lol

 

you will all live long enough to see From keel over like the rest of them

 

This man could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose my support

 

Sadly same, now I am just worried about GTA

 

I remember when Bioware was respected

 

I trust Nintendo’s team that makes the mainline Mario games and that’s maybe it lol

 

They could put out the most mediocre game and it would sell millions and get 95%+ on metacritic. I'm worried for GTA too

 

Wow no respect for EA in here?

 

I mean From has made the same type of game 6 times now, it just so happens that its a good game, and the setting and art are also good

but they cant keep making the same type pf game forever without any diminishing returns

 

I almost shudder to think about what GTA6 will be like, but then I kind of think that Rockstar has no incentive to screw up their critical darling status by making a mediocre GTA single-player game. They're making such an obscene amount of money with GTA Online, while facing almost zero criticism, that they almost have to make sure they continue to make good single-player GTA content just to keep their cover going lol

 

Elden ring is different

 

RDR2 worked out for them and look at that mess

 

I wasn’t a gigantic fan of the story in GTA5, but the game was fun as hell. I have much more faith in them with GTA as opposed to RDR

 

Hey, I think the campaign was overrated as hell too but it was at least well-made and had good writing/performances. They clearly put a lot of effort into it, they didn't just phone it in. People just so happened to convince themselves that the intentionally un-fun game design was actually brilliant lol.

 

Not as much as GTA5 though

 

I don't think they can afford to not give GTA's single-player their all because that component of the game being so well-received almost immunizes them from criticism for what they've done with GTA Online. They have to keep the single-player audience happy.

 

It's sold over 25 million copies and isn't even on PC yet

 

imagine if GTA6 was online only

 

Yeah but Red Dead Online hasn't been nearly the same size of a cash cow as GTA Online

 

I just want the mission structure and writing to get better going forward in Rockstar games. But I have that qualm with all the other big devs too, Bethesda comes to mind as the poster child.

 

Isn’t GTA at almost 100 million?
