That's valid. Its funny though all my friends who were real into skating (I was like a half skater who could kickflip) definitely preferred Skate because of the realism.

 

They were better at it irl than me probably lol

You couldn't get off your board until Skate 2 but yes I believe that was possible

What was the last good THPS? THUG2?

 

I think THUG1 was the peak, but a lot of people love THUG2 and American Wasteland a lot. I like them too though. Even Project 8 was still pretty good. It played well still. Proving Ground was too, uh, Skate-like. After that, hell started.

 

yeah I always though it looked like thug was thps being influenced by gta a little. I think thps3 was the last one I played.

 

At the time maybe but playing it now it doesn’t feel like that at all. It’s really pretty much the same except the mission design is more open, the levels are a little bigger and there’s a real story. The biggest difference is that you can get off your board, which made setting up certain tricks easier. If anything, THUG1 and 2, especially 2, had some Jackass in them.

 

yeah I just mean it went open world-ish, you could walk around, and there was some mischief shit

As much as I like Apex and it's cool they have a new map and character today, Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is way more interesting looking.
