Oh my god the single too. I just mean I'm gambling an announcement in like late September/October now. Some folk here suggested at the end of this month and with three, potentially four vinyl (new single I'm looking at you) releases on the horizon, I doubt they'd crowd this month with an album announcement too.

 

I think August or September seems reasonable for an album announcement, if those rumored fall tours are legit. It'd be wild for them to tour again so quickly after this though, but I don't think that rules out an album announcement in that time period, since the next single is supposed to be before the end of the summer (right?). And Kevin Devine wanted his album out in the fall, probably October if I am remembering what someone said in this thread right. If we're still assuming their albums come in the same season, I think the time line is right. So not this month, but still pretty soon.

 

in dublin, they opened with mene and it didn't even register with the crowd. jumped straight into sic transit gloria afterwards and the reaction was huge.

It's such a great song, too! They went into Gasoline the other night. Very weird set list construction, honestly, but enjoyed most of what they chose to play.

Yeah I noticed that too. I wonder what the deal is there. I wanted to hear the clips they had on the page and that page is gone now. Mene/Out of Range is the new/old single calling it now.

 

Imagine if it was actually the other way round...with Out of Range on the album and as the single...
It wouldn't surprise me if it was the single though (Mene). I mean, they're shipping out IAAN vinyl, there's the Reworked Demo vinyl, the Out of Range vinyl and all of that with a new single supposedly AND the new LP? Bloody hell. It took 7 years but we're finally getting content hahaha

 

So some friends have backed out and I have one GA West and one GA East ticket for the MSG show on Thursday if anyone is interested.

I paid $100 each so would like to try to recoup that but PM me and maybe we can work something out. I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan so we can either meet at the show or before.

 

Didn't realize I'll be driving to NYC on Thursday and that's the night of the show. Leaving from Montreal in the morning and debating if it's worth the stress considering I just saw them twice last month. Does anyone know what time BN would go on at since they are closing the show?

 

It says on that product page something like "correct info on July 7th"

Thanks! I know already the weather for the drive is going to be shitty and it would make the entire day more stressful. Gotta weigh the pros and cons but it's definitely doable.

 

I know this opinion is not popular at all, but I actually am not a fan of Aloc-aloc. Brothers is one of my favorite Brand New songs though.

 

I absolutely love Aloc-Acoc. Probably in my top 10 BN songs. Always liked it more than Brothers, though Brothers has grown on me a whole lot the past year.

 

Damn dude going to see them at MSG too?!?!

 

I'm going to Warped in Holmdel on Sunday so I'm spending the weekend in the city, very tempting.
