can’t go wrong with the Witch or the first Conjuring if you’ve never seen them

 

My personal favorite horror icon. The first two films are so damn good. The rest range from decent to awful, but the whole mythos for Pinhead and the Cenobites is great. Barker’s books with them are worth the read too.

I definitely have a shirt with that in it haha.

Just watched Terrifier. What the fuck.

 

This is on my list. Care to elaborate?

 

Verónica was good!

 

The clown is terrifying. It’s crazy. It’s bad. It’s great. It’s just a whole basket of “what the fuck.”

 

Very very graphic scene that divides people no pun intended towards the middle of it. If gore isn’t your thing then be warned

 

Fuck clowns. Can't believe I made it through It 1-2

 

Gore is very much my thing, so this is music to my ears.

 

supposed to watch Hell House 3 but went for Party Young Die Hard instead

will be annoying my wife by doing the x-jam gesture for at least a week

 

Are any of these new Netflix horror shows good??

 

THE scene gets creative with the gore, so I say go for it.

 

Terrifier was divisive not because of the gore but of the perceived hate forwards women. The women that are killed are done in pretty brutal, over the top fashion while the men get a quick kill shot to the head. I’m sure we could dive into the deeper symbolism of the notorious kill scene described above. I can’t say for certain I would have picked up on it on my own, but someone else brought it up in the thread and it felt pretty glaring watching the movie with that mind.

 

How many new ones do they have?

 

Lots of buzz and positive stuff surrounding Marianne

 

Marianne is the one show with decent dubbing

Still better in French tho

 

Can you watch it with subtitles instead of dubbing?

Marianne was the only one I could think of. I do need to give that a try. I know they’ve got Two Sentence Horror Stories as well, but that isn’t an original. Pretty sure that has bad reviews mostly.

 

Sadly my horror season is mostly going to be sitting around watching movies at night, because I was given 3 days off from now until Nov. 10th.

 

My horror season has been off to a pretty great start.

The Shining in 4K at the theater
Ready or not
Halloween town - not horror obviously but still a fun watch
Brightburn
It chapter 2

 

Scream 2 is on Starz and we did a free trial solely to watch it during our run through haha
