If you took half of Pacific Daydream and half of Black you'd have a really good pop-rock Weezer album but unfortunately they're two mediocre to weak ones

PD and Black combined would definitely make a great album, but you're missing Beach Boys, Any Friend of Diane's and Hustle.

 

I would definitely consider Diane. I don’t like the other 2 at all.

Biggggg “Happy Hour” fan here. Probably my favorite between PD and Black tbh.

 

It's one of the shirts they mailed out randomly to fans to hype up the then impending Hella Mega tour announcement, when there was only just speculation. So, this one is a shirt that has a Fall Out Boy logo on it, with members of Green Day. And there were two other opposite shirts for each band. Some may have been posted in the Weezer discussion thread. I'll try to find a better image for you!

 

The Happy Hour radio edit (on Spotify) made me appreciate the song a bit more

 

I appreciated it more once I heard it played live as a late night performance. I think I heard the radio edit play in Forever 21 when Black was released.

 

Any Friend Of Diane’s is SO good.

 

Pinkerton came out 23 years ago today. Time really does fly!

 

So underrated. Brian Bell listed it as one of his favorite songs the band has ever done

I have such fond memories of PD because it came out when I was on a Cancun beach vacation and I just jammed it the whole time.

I’ve been on a huge Weezer kick the last few weeks, listening to their whole discography and the Alone albums on shuffle. And there is so much great stuff on every album. Hurley is the only one that hasn’t fully clicked yet though. My current ranking would be:
