I saw a Reddit comment about how that EA dev response ‘giving players a sense of pride and accomplishment’ was the most downvoted post in history - yet the game still made a heck ton of money. As much as everybody is kicking up a fuss, I do wonder if it’ll actually have much of an effect. The deal obviously cost a lot of money and COD fans are relentless so I’d say regardless they’re still sitting pretty.

 

I could care less about the exclusivity deal. I care a lot about loot boxes with weapons and skins in them that IW was adamant wouldn't happen with this title.

Looks like when they were asked about it they would beat around the bush about it and not give a firm 'no loot boxes' statement

 

Seems like most of the outrage is over the survival mode exclusivity rather than that though. It was a given there would be loot boxes...it’s Activision haha.

 

The top four posts on that particular subreddit are all about loot boxes. It’s definitely shifted over the last 24 hours from one thing to another.

skins or emotes usually won’t bother me in a shooter but any game that hides guns behind a paywall can fuck all the way off.
