Anyways this is a movie with some good acting that didn’t need to be made cause it has no idea how to deal with the material it’s talking about . Basically it’s everything you think it will be

 

it Fails as a movie while also failing as a comic book adaptation so really does nothing right that it sought out to do

I've never thought this movie was going to hold up the Joker as a hero. He's the Joker. A lot of comic book villains have sympathetic backstories, if not most of them. We see it in most superhero movies.

 

The story can be sympathetic towards the Joker without making him a hero. If there was no sympathy at all I would actually find the movie pretty dull.


Unless it’s Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake. That film tried to add sympathy and was still dull

That's fine due to the dialogue surrounding the film but I think the part of the article that should be highlighted is "The FBI also noted that this was just a precaution and that they are unaware of any specific terror plots or suspects."

 

It's a movie. How can we shit on Walmart for removing violent video games and then criticize WB for putting this movie out. I see all the arguments but it just doesn't justify the means to me. I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense.

 

Are the same people doing both of those things?

 

I've seen an overlap on Twitter; I just popped into this thread and saw the discourse but haven't researched anyone's past comments on the Walmart thing.

 

this is different than just violence because it may or may not draw influence from a topical and problematic political ideology. you have to understand that and that what youve said is a false dichotomy.
