October 1st, so next Tuesday. I saw Tangled yesterday and I'm planning on seeing Abominable this weekend, so I didn't want to go to the movies too much this week.

Hoping I can watch tonight or tomorrow, really wish I could figure out why my Shudder resolution sucks so bad though.

 

This director's last movie, Under The Shadow was pretty good, so this might be worth checking out. Also, pretty sure the trailer music is aping Midsommar ha.

 

Omg the drive in theater is playing a double showing of It and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark this weekend!!

 

watched the 2nd hell house today. for some reason i just never got around it, but it’s a bummer to hear the reactions to the 3rd one

 

Watched Scream tonight to kick off Horror season. Of course.

 

yeah I've noticed this on some stuff, the darks have a really rough compression, and then sometimes it looks great. I just kind of chalked it up to I pay a cheap price so whatever because I never found an answer. would like to see them head to a higher HD or 4K though.

 

I have heard of these complaints from other folks too. Haven't noticed anything personally, but I think that BackyardHero is probably right. Also hoping they continue to improve as they grow.

Finally signed up for Shudder the other week. Watched Mayhem last night and it was a fun time.

 

awesome! yeah I really enjoyed this one. suggestion for managing your Shudder content, and if anyone knows better, please speak up, but I try to check the app once a day to see if the "leaving soon" thread pops up for anything that's in my queue. it's still unclear to me how long something is on there once it hits that thread, I wish they gave exact dates personally. but I found checking once a day at least limits the chance of something vanishing before I get to watch it.

 

Most services have stuff leave either the last or first day of the month. I wonder if eventually they’ll start putting out a list like Netflix and Hulu usually do.

 

I need to sign back up for Shudder. Definitely want to see One Cut of the Dead and some others y'all have mentioned recently.
