Like I don’t want to say I was born for this but I think I was born for this

However I don’t want to get too cocky, Parks and Rec trivia sure was a humbling experience

...but I’ve seen mean girls approximately 15000 times more than I’ve seen p&r

 

I feel like I should do trivia but I'm afraid I'd get too competitive

I’m used to people forgetting me, it’s all good.

 

Idk anyone by name or photo. I know by tidbits. Obsessive Ariana grande fan, works in plastic that goes around toilet paper rolls, users in Texas, has child, has dog, likes to cook etc etc.

 

On a semi related note, as an armchair professional I have self diagnosed myself with prosopagnosia because I swear I cannot like process faces of people. Once my old roommate aka my best friend of 15 years knocked on the door cause she forgot her key and I legit did not recognize her and was about to ask who she was before she just came inside the house. I have to use secondary clues like.... Ppl need to be in the correct context (ie if you're a lawyer I need to see you in court to recognize u instantly. If ur a coworker I need to see u at work. If ur a parent I need to see u at school etc etc or I'm lost) or I have to know by hair or clothing or whatever. So if I'm used to seeing someone in a suit and then see them in workout clothes at the gym I'm a mess. As a consequence I am so busy trying to study and memorize faces of ppl I first meet that i look like a creepy starer and also never catch anyone's name. I feel like this is also why I don't get like lil shallow crushes often - because I don't rly pay attn to facial features so most ppl are just sorted into the category of indifference, unless they have nice hair which my brain does catch lol

I forget names instantly. Honestly I don’t know most of the people in my office by name. And I also struggle with faces. My brain will try to figure out if someone is familiar. But not always very good at it

 

Well now it's person who excessively praises me which rly should be the tidbit of everyone

It's so hard!! Lol now I just play along and then forever later they'll be like "I haven't seen u since I ran into u at the farmers market two months ago and said hello!" And then I'm like ohhhhh that's who that was! A few weeks ago I was at a pancake breakfast and some man was interacting with me and I was like "what a weirdo idk this person he must be mistaken but I will be polite and play along" and then last week I ran into him in the correct context and he asked me how my pancakes were and I was like

 

It is! My brain will be like “hey they kind of look like this famous person” and that’s not usually very helpful. Lol

 

The other day I thought I knew some guy and couldn't place it and then I realized he looked like Peter pettigrew from Harry Potter and that I do not know Peter pettigrew or that man.

 

I can't imagine he'd be flattered if you were like, "you look like Peter Pettigrew" and then walked away.

 

I kinda have the opposite situation. I remember almost everybody, so when I see someone from high school I have to pretend I don’t recognize them unless they say something first
