Pokemon GO! inspired me to finally try and replace the battery in my old Gold game boy cartridge so I could play and save my game again. Ended up playing for like 5 hours - I feel such a stronger connection to G/S than I ever did with R/B/Y.

 

I watched Achievement Hunter play through of Inside and that seemed like a cool game. I might have to check it out eventually.

I also am starting Alan Wake tonight so that should be fun. A co-worker was constantly praising it and telling me it's a must.

 

Beat UC3 last night. Had some real qualms with the story and pacing but it was pretty good. Excited to start UC4 finally tonight.

 

What issues exactly?

 

Just 100%ed Lollipop Chainsaw. One of the worst games I have ever played. An absolute grind-fest with annoying characters and watered down gameplay in comparison to far superior hack n' slash titles.
Rating: 1/5.
Avoid at all costs, even if its free.

 

"Just 100%ed [awful game]" is basically my omnipresent curse

 

I'm running an MC server on a linux-based VPS, so I'm actually learning basic linux commands. Scripting seems super intimidating but I need to setup automated restarts and backups.

Figured that might be the case, that also seems dumb. Guess they are still trying to sell that for straight cash instead of including that in the F2P currency pool?

That he can't help but 100% games once he starts them, including really bad ones.

 

I've been fairly lucky in the games I have chosen to play and then complete(which I do with basically all of them) but there definitely have been some duds in there.

 

The voice over for Alan Wake sounds super cheesy but I feel like I can get into this despite having these kind of "scary" games.

 

This little town Alan Wake goes on vacation reminds me so much of Twin Peaks and especially the diner but I figured that it has most diners were back then.

SCREW THIS GAME. It's messing with my mind.

 

That's pretty much the point. Its a psychological game, not survival horror.

It's up there with some of the best writing for a game, in my personal opinion.

 

Great game. Hopefully they make a second one at some point.

yep what Deviant said. i've loosened up a bit, but right now all of the Mafia 2 wanted posters are on my backburner.

 

I decided to do the whole exploring thing while the killer was around the area and I turned a corner and the killer was waiting and I didn't expect him. I screamed out loud OH JESUS CHRIST super loud and my mom came to my room just to check if I was ok.

I'm staying in the light and never exploring again.

 

Those were definitely a pain. I find that if you are a completionist, just suck it up and focus and complete one game at a time because you are most likely not going to want to go back after some time. Especially, with something like collectibles.

 

Haha. Loved Alan Wake, even if it gets a little tedious in the shooting later on.

 

Alan Wake's biggest problem was its gameplay loop, yeah. stopped being scary or even tense and just kind of started taking a while

 

i have yet to start alan wake or quantum break (nice rhyme)
