Yeah my parents are both technically independent but basically Conservative at this point so I know how tough it is

 

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I struggle with this regarding my grandparents who have been poisoned by the Fox News well. I have a cousin who's also pretty shitty apparently, but I don't much care about them, lol.

 

My youngest brother has been gotten to by the right wing. He's like one of those people now who thinks it's funny and edgy to like Trump. He always says he "doesn't agree with him on everything" but also won't listen to anything I try to tell him about what's wrong with the way he thinks, how you can't agree with Trump on just one thing, if you support him you support everything he stands for. It's really sad/scary to think about how easy it is for young people to be brainwashed online these days. I get anxiety about it whenever I think about having children, just this crippling fear that no matter how hard I work to teach them right from wrong some piece of shit they stumble across on YouTube one day will fill their minds full of misinformation and they'll just be lost.
