FUCK PF

 

Finally got around to spinning the full album and it did not disappoint. Incredible.

 

The closing track on this is just stunning.

 

7.7 is really high for Pf tho....

 

That is high for PF but I had to stop reading after the first line, "We listen to pop music because we see our reflection in it". Huh? I'm pretty sure people listen to pop music for a variety of different reasons. I usually cringe when reviewers try to make declarative statements about genres but this one is particularly bad.

 

lol, "we see our reflection in it" is some pompous-ass-shit right there

 

I dunno what it is, but this album isn't really hitting me like it seems to be for a lot of you, a lot of this really just blends together for me.

 

Try listening on good headphones if you got them; I found a much more involved listening experience with those, versus just out of my phone or laptop speakers

 

I will at least say that I don't have a laptop and don't listen to music on my phone I haven't done the headphone or car speakers test yet, so maybe I'll get more out of that at least!

 

Report back when you do! Always fascinated to hear how different people react to the same piece of music, or any art really

I just couldn't get into TJH's album for some reason, after being a huge fan of her previous releases

Listened to this more and I just don't really think the majority of it is for me. The closing track is REALLY great lyrically though

 

I'm not sure I Iike it as much as the debut, but I definitely do love it. Feels more restrained than the first record, which in some instances is nice, but others it leaves a lot to be desired.

 

This album is brilliant

 

I wish the dynamic range were a little wider in certain moments (e.g., the bridge/chorus in "Taken"), but these are some top-notch pop songs, and I appreciate that I can see my reflection in a number of them.

 

Been completely obsessed with this band the past 2 weeks - Having not known they existed before then!

Looking forward to seeing them in December
