Weedle and a damn Magikarp from two 2KM eggs

 

I've only hatched two eggs, got a Zubat and an Aerodactyl

 

An Aerodactyl would be super sweet.

 

Nice! I've gotten Growlithe, Magnemite, and Ekans with my eggs so far. Waiting on a 10k now.

 

fav catch today was a dratini. loved the mass of people walking along the streets clearly playing. one guy yelled "fuck yeah, a Tauros"

 

My Pokedex is up to 51 caught out of 53 seen, Squirtle and Abra got away from me. I've got Pokemon at three gyms, one at a church near my place and two on a nature trail in a metropark. Now that I get how gyms and battling work I'm into it, my brother and I are Team Mystic and we took over a couple gyms, and a couple of our friends are Team Mystic too so once we take over we tell them where we started gyms and tell them to claim spots

My most exciting catches today were Dratini and Slowpoke, which were exciting. I've had two Eevees evolve into Flareon, which I'm not complaining about, and one into Vaporeon, so I just need Jolteon.

The PokeDex is interesting. My brothers ends at 133, at Eevee, while mine ends at 147, at Dratini. I guess it goes up to the latest numbered Pokemon you caught.

Need some fuckin Magikarps though to evolve mine, and I can't find them anywhere.

 

Just took out a low level gym but two other guys were camped out waiting for someone to do the work so they could leave their Pokemon for a different team

 

Finally claimed the gym that's just outside the radius of my house. First success I've had in my gym battles. Helps that it was a Hypno with 600 less CP than the one I was using lol.

 

All of the guns by me house are much stronger than I am. So that'll take some time I guess.

I had a squirtle get away from me today which sucked. And then I ran out of pokeballs so I came home.

I'm only one candy away from my Eevee evolving.

 

Got smoked by a Lapras with 1400CP today. Saw at least two Lapras' posted up at gyms. Wonder where people are getting them.

 

Anyone have thoughts on powering up vs. saving candy for evolving? I've been saving the candies to evolve them... But it leaves my Pokemon at pretty low levels because of it.

I wish you just needed stardust to power up and just candy to evolve.

 

I generally evolve then power up since evolving gives exp and higher levels increases the CP of Pokemon you see anyway. But I'm also mainly just trying to complete the Pokedex anyway aside from a few select Pokemon I want to level.

 

I went for a walk to my park and back and all I came back with was like five new pidgeys.

I did have someone in a truck drive by me and yell POKEMONNNNNNNN. That was a funny moment.

 

I finally get to leave town on Tuesday and scout other areas, pretty excited for that. Also noticed that out of all places, our bowling alley is somehow a Pokestop

 

That's sort of the approach I've settled for. My strongest Pokemon right now is a 293cp Pinsir. Which sort of sucks because I can't find anymore Pinsirs to get candies to power him up more.

 

I've only seen 2 Pinsirs and the second ran away hahaha. I feel your pain. My strongest is Bird Jesus but that was how I ran out of Pokeballs and Stardust on nothing so I gave that up.

 

Best part of spotty service is it's inaccurate and causes your character to sprint across the neighborhood which counts for eggs.

 

Do you have to stay in the app to keep the incubator going?

 

Yes, it's terrible.

 

Yeah but I think if it's still actually running in the background it counts. But it won't run long.

 

Don't quote me on anything though because I'm bad at everything and likely wrong about everything from Pokemon Go to life itself.

I'm close to level 5 so I'm starting to get my friends wanting me to not choose them.
