Oh wow I’m reading that Kerrang interview. Love that list of 5 bands.

Edit: Holy shit this thing is crazy. I have no idea what my final thoughts will be. But Hate TKO/Pull is like everything I loved about bands like underoath.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

I don't really follow this band at all so went in without hearing anything and WOW not what I expected from their previous stuff I've heard. They go in on this thing. I think after one listen, Mirrors is probably the biggest highlight for me but I love how heavy and aggressive the majority of this record is!

This album goes HARD. Favorite track so far is probably "Pull."

This is amazing. These guys absolutely crushed it. Up there with Somos and Oso in terms of best stuff I’ve heard all year.

Got about halfway through on my drive in this morning and get a lot of "Cope" vibes from a few tracks, even a little thrice on "brakeman has resigned".

One of my favorite first listens of the year. “Pull” into “Love’s...” was the biggest standout for me, although I’m really confused why they’re separate tracks. Also wish the vocals weren’t so buried. Overall, it wasn’t what I was expecting but still is a hell of an album.

I want to like this but I’m kind of not feeling the new direction. I’ll give it some listens because it sounds like a grower, but I miss some of the feel from Much Love/Stovall

Back half of this is unreal. After reading that Alternative interview I think Nathan’s gonna be a really great songwriter to grow up with. Gimme that Psych R&B record!!!!

The singles were too hard for my taste. I love their first record and like the second a lot as well but those singles were way more heavy.

I'll give it a listen but this wasn't what I was expecting.

Man, between this, Somos, and Oso Oso, these new emo adjacent bands have really found their voices in the past month and it RULES

Diggin this. Got my vinyl yesterday and spun it once. Already listened to it twice on spotify this morning.

At first I was a little bummed in the heavier direction but I can always go back and listen to Much Love & Stovall and I think this will continue to grow on me even more.
