I wonder if they see any money of me playing this on iTunes since I have Apple Music.

The songs are in Apples system and they are tagged correctly.

Probably not and I won’t listen to it more (maybe just one more time) before launch but I wonder...

  2. Album's great. But Taylor Swift is awesome and I'd love more Taylor Swift vibes ... which ... this doesn't have.

  3. Yeah, I don't really get any T-Swift vibes from this album other than maybe "I Really Wish I Hated You" which for whatever reason makes me think of "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince." Similar melodies or something, ha.

I was tired of California the first time I listened to it. It’s a really repetitive record and it was that at launch (despite that I like a lot of songs there).

This is a much more interesting record even at first listen. It sounds like they are actually being creative and trying new things and no thinking of what “Blink 182 is” or just writing shit in 10 minutes.

    And no joke songs!

  7. Back half of the album is my favorite for sure.

  8. California was really shallow. I didn't totally realize that was the perfect word for it until I heard Nine. Production rules on this.

yoooooo I can't believe how blown away I am with this. Aside from Darkside, the singles had my expectations super low.

Some of the best Blink hooks I've heard in a long time. And some of Mark's best lyrics.

"If you don't love me then lie to my face." FUCK it hits hard.

On Some Emo Shit chorus reminds me so much of another band/song, I just can't put my finger on it.

Yeah. I’m really happy this didn’t drop at the beginning/middle of summer like it was originally going to.

    (:

My only complaint really is that I keep cringing at the lyrics, but I'm use to that at this point with Blink lol.

Whoever picked the singles for this album should be fired into the sun.

You can really feel Skiba on No Heart to Speak Of, the emotion was definetly lacking on California

  17. Yeah I feel Skiba's influence on this album. Probably felt a lot more confident making contributions this time around.

Yeah, Skiba sounds more confident and comfortable on this.

All the talk and Skiba love has me so excited to hear the album now

  21. I woulda picked at least 3 of the songs released to release as well. I think they're good picks and did a good job showing the diversity of the album. I only woulda swapped "Darkside" as the first song released.

I think if (what seems to be fan favorite so far) "Pin the Grenade" was released as a standalone people woulda hated it the same as they did "Really Wish I Hated You."

I definitely agree Darkside should have been first. Happy Days is the only song I don’t like, it sounds like the Deluxe California which I was afraid this album was going to sound like. Thank goodness it’s not.

  23. I kinda thought the same. The whole Rabbit Hole debacle - if they hadn't pre-released that song, it would have probably been a stand out fan fav.

I KEEP losing it. haha. I love it though.

    THIS THREAD?? no way!

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that lost my shit on this one. hahaha. I hope you get the top post of the week in liner notes. hahaha

  24. Ronald.

    House of Protect Ron.

dying to hear it, but I won't torrent it. Is there a downloaded / streaming version available somewhere?

Also, I went to the AVA show last night and the guy next to me kept on referring to matt as "The new guy" and really wanted him to "Fucking go back to his main band Alien Antfarm" It was super rad to hear Tom do the blink songs. The crowd went wild and it is awesome to hear that the general consensus on Nine is that Blink is progressing and hitting their stride with Matt as a member.
