This is a perfect example of a tombot over analyzing and nitpicking the new blink songs just to find the slightest thing wrong with them so be can convince himself it's bad.

Just tried relistening to Neighbourhoods this morning and wow the production and mixing is terrible on that album.

 

Come to find this is a fine album to put on in the background to do things, but not much else. Lyrics are pretty awful and there are too many "Nah nah nah"s.

Alright, I finally feel like I've listened to the album enough to post my thoughts. I liked it enough on first listen, but I love it more and more the more I listen to it. This is the type of comeback album the band needed in 2009. It sucks that it couldn't happen with Tom involved, but all that matters now is that Blink is having fun and making great music. It feels like Blink, which is the best thing about this album to me. Plus, Matt Skiba has been one of my favorite songwriters since 2003, and it was a longtime dream to hear him collaborate with Mark. All in all, I'm super pleased and so stoked for how successful this album has been for them.

 

not to be a buzzkill but we should consider putting a limit on how many Tom tweets/IGs are posted here, like I get the dude's a little nutty but I don't need to see everything he posts to remind me of that haha

I haven't missed that Colbert performance have I? If it hasn't aired yet that makes me think maybe they played She's Out Of Her Mind and it'll air when that becomes an official single? Since Travis can't fly they had to do it while they were close to a coast?

 

I think adding new songs was obvious enough, I'm still wondering if they are going to cut songs from what they have, or extend the setlist.

 

Have they ever played a pre-recorded performance like that on that show? Would they have a whole show in the can just waiting to go along with it?
