Early impression is that I possibly like Hated more than Darkside, despite how much I'm foremost a Skiba guy and he kills it on that song.

Both these songs possibly top everything on Cali for me and I haven't even heard the "Cure-y" Black Rain yet. Still ten songs to hear, so excited

 

this Is going to be really hard to not listen to this tomorrow lol. I haven’t listened to any of the Nine songs since Darkside launched. Or any blink at all.

My plan is starting the 12th I’m gonna start with Buddha and listen to one blink album a day leading up to Nine on release day on the ninth day

Stay strong, I haven't listened to any of the singles since Darkside music video and haven't listened to the new single yet and don't plan on it until 9/20. Even hearing 4 of the songs already so far is a lot but oh well.

Even if you listened to all 5 [promo] singles early, then you'd still have a full 10-song album.

 

It’s not just about the number of songs. I haven’t listened to ANY blink since the album announcement. Think about not being able to have your favorite food for months, And then getting treated to a buffet of it after so long. That’s what I’m going for

Now that is a record I have no idea on what to expect

 

First listen:
I enjoyed that more than BIOMY the first time. I’m not sure how Mark will sing that live (or if Matt’ll sing the highish parts). I feel like Matt was underused slightly in that song.

 

If anyone is watching the Packers v. Bears on NBC right now, they just played Simple Creatures Adrenaline cutting to a commercial after a packers touchdown. $$$

My initial impression was that this song reminded me of TS in all the best ways possible. I feel like that melody is very "her.' I could also hear that Hallsey aspect someone else mentioned, for sure. Do we know who wrote with them on this and who produced?

So John Feldmann did this one, along with Andrew Watt & Ali Tamposi

Based on a quick peek at Wikipedia, I can see Andrew Watt wrote on 'Havana' & 'Señiorita' by Camila Cabello. He's also written for 5 Seconds Of Summer, Post Malone, JuiceWrld, Justin Bieber and countless others.

Ali Tamposi also wrote on 'Havana' & 'Señorita' and the rest of her discography includes songs for 5SOS, Beyoncè, BTS, Bebe Rexha, & Against The Current.

 

Speaking of Post Malone...his new album is the shit.

 

Just did one listen through and I can confirm, it is indeed the shit. Especially Allergic, A Thousand Bad Times, and Circles back to back to back.

I'm only gonna listen once until the album is out but on first impression it didn't really stick out to me too much, definitely had a stronger first impression of Darkside

Generational Divide

NINE is shaping up to be a really special record and I’m excited.

 

Listened to the new song again and man, it's so good. I've enjoyed all of the songs and each are unique in their own way unlike most of California.

If the rest has this level of quality it might be my one of my favorite Blink records (probably only behind Untitled and Enema).
